QMultimedia-Q6 (QTS6 / Hero 6)

QMultimedia-Q6 is a comprehensive multimedia runtime and command-line toolkit for QNAP QTS 6 and Hero6 (x86_64 and ARM64).

It provides a centralized set of audio, video, image, container and media-analysis utilities that can be used directly or shared by other QPKG applications.

The package includes FFmpeg, FFprobe and FFplay, alongside a dedicated Jellyfin-FFmpeg runtime, plus HandBrakeCLI, MKVToolNix, MediaInfo, VLC, MPlayer, SoX, ImageMagick, GPAC/MP4Box and Chromaprint/fpcalc.

QMultimedia-Q6 also provides the libraries and runtime components required by modern multimedia applications, including support for common codecs, subtitles, metadata, image processing, streaming protocols and hardware-accelerated video processing.

Hardware capabilities are detected dynamically on the NAS, with support where available for technologies such as Intel Quick Sync / oneVPL, VA-API, NVIDIA NVENC/NVDEC/CUDA, AMD AMF, Vulkan, OpenCL, V4L2 and Rockchip hardware acceleration.

A lightweight built-in Web interface provides an overview of the installed multimedia stack, tool versions, executable paths, runtime status and detected hardware acceleration capabilities.
