QNAP announces the arrival of the TS-h765eU, a 1U rackmount NAS distinguished by its reduced dimensions, high-performance processor and scalability. Designed to meet the needs of professionals and businesses, this new model is available for €899 ex VAT.
QNAP TS-h765eU
The QNAP TS-h765eU adopts a shallow 1U rack format (430 × 292.1 × 43 mm), ideal for space-saving server racks. Under the hood, this NAS features an Intel Atom x7405C Quad-Core processor running at 2.2 GHz (boosted to 3.4 GHz), accompanied by 8 GB DDR5 ECC RAM (expandable to 16 GB). However, it’s important to note that this processor has no integrated graphics chip (iGPU).
Flexible, scalable storage
The TS-h765eU offers 4 front bays compatible with 3.5“ hard disks and 2.5” SSDs.
At the rear, 3 additional slots enable the installation of M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs or E1.S SSDs. NVMe adapters are pre-installed. What’s more, QNAP offers a 10 Gb/s network module (QXG-ES10G1T) that can occupy one of these slots… there’s nothing to stop you adding more (see photo below).

In terms of connection interfaces, the TS-h765eU features :
- 1 USB 2.0 port
- 1 USB 3.0 port
- 2 RJ45 2.5 Gb/s ports
QTS 5.2 and QuTS hero 5.2
On the internal software side, the e TS-h765eU can run either QTS 5.2 or QuTS hero 5.2, the latter being based on the ZFS file system for improved data management and enhanced security.
What about QTS 6?
For several months, rumors have been circulating about the arrival of QTS 6.0, a major overhaul that would merge QTS and QuTS hero. No information has yet been leaked, but rumor has it that it’s due this year. We can’t wait…
Price and availability
The QNAP TS-h765eU is expected in Europe from late February/early March 2025. Its price is announced at €899 ex VAT.
